Did you ever dream of spending the night in a lighthouse?

We are open year round! You will find it fun and exciting in different ways for every season. Summer is the docks best season, for swimming, sunbathing, or just watching the boats go by. It is usually temperate enough to swim on into October! Fall is a time of beautiful colors and a great time for the firepit or just snuggling up with your sweetie to watch a movie or a great ballgame. Winter of course is the time of beautiful Christmas decorations. With the foilage gone from the trees it is a great time for checking out real estate. Spring is a time of renewal with everything turning green and flowers just beginning to bloom, Love is in the air! The "Tugboat Maggie" is also temperate for all seasons. Windows open and a breeze blowing through in the warm weather or closed to keep the heat in for the winter.

AnchorLight is a Christian Bed and Breakfast located on beautiful Smith Lake in north Alabama.  The lighthouse is an exciting place to stay for kids of all ages, or a romantic interlude for just the two of you! We are kid friendly and can handle families with children as long as the children are either small enough to stay in the room with the parents or older children may like the adventure of actually spending the night in the lamproom or on The Wharf. Sleeping bags or cots are provided for their adventure. We still have a few things left to do to make the T S Fowler room complete, but nothing that would hinder you from loving your stay. Please call or email for information. When all is completed there will be 3 guest rooms with the lamp room as a common area. At this time we have only the TS Fowler room , the RKO Lamproom, and The Wharf available. We are sure that the serenity and beauty of these surroundings will leave you knowing that God is indeed an awesome God. Why not get away from the cares of the world with the feeling of a New England vacation without having to travel great distances. How about a secluded private honeymoon? Are you looking for a romantic and unique place for asking that special person to share your life with you? We have had just romantic dinners in the lighthouse. Or maybe a romantic moonlight dinner on the tug? Don't be afraid to ask. We will try to make your wish come true for you. Maybe you are looking for a different kind of place to spend Christmas, New Years, Valentines, fourth of July or any of the Holidays. How about a trip out on the tug to see the beautiful fall foilage? The lighthouse grounds can also be used for small intimate weddings (possibly 40 people), we can also even supply someone to perform the ceremony! So, why not most of all "Make a dream come true!!"

 Included in your stay will be a ride on the tugboat "Maggie". Weather (with the exception of severe storms and wind) is not an issue with your tour of the lake. Maggie runs year round and is comfortable in all weather. Looking for real estate on the lake? We can take you rain or shine. We are not affilated with any real estate agency. We can provide you a unique view by water of any property on the eastern side of the lake. Having lived here for 17 years we can give you an honest assessment of most properties on our part of Smith Lake.  Maggie has a story of her own, be sure and check out her page.
